Berlin wall was built during 1961 during the peak of cold war to avoid escape of people from east germany to west germany.round about 3.5 million people escaped into west germany.The construction of this wall began midnight on aug 12,1961.The construction began in 1961 by the efforts taken by nikita.Even after destruction of berlin wall people began to migrate to west germany.Five different times modifications have been done to prevent the escape of people.
